About Eastern Commerce Group
Founded in 2014, Eastern General Group is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and consists of Eastern Energy Tanzania, Eastern Leone Kenya, Eastern GD Tanzania and Connect Auto Co. Zambia.
We are the exclusive distributors of tyres, Royal Black, Tracmax and Wellplus brands in Tanzania and Zambia and the exclusive distributor for the Probat brand of automotive batteries in Tanzania and Zambia.
Eastern General Group operates a fleet of over 100 trucks in 3 countries. We transport fuel, containers and loose cargo through Eastern GD in Tanzania and Connect Auto Co. in Zambia.
We also broker and consult on many products and services such as sugar and logistics services in our markets.
Eastern General Group is ISO certified with 9001:2015, 14001:2015 & 45001:2018.
The first company in the group, Eastern Energy Tanzania, was incorporated in the Republic of Tanzania in late 2013 and started operations in 2014 with the first of many petrol filling station in Kongowe, Dar Es Salaam. At present, Eastern Energy Tanzania Ltd does not operate any petrol filling stations. At one stage, we operated a total of 12 petrol filling stations which included our own stations as well as Oryx Energies, Hass Petroleum and Oilcom stations.
Our long-term vision is to establish ourselves as one of the leading companies in our sectors and industries with our brand/s and with strategic partners in Eastern Africa, namely in Tanzania and Zambia. Over the years we have worked and formed excellent strategic partnerships and working relationships with various companies involved in Petroleum, Transport & Logistics, Tyres, and automotive Batteries.
